The Washburn Hotel

The Washburn Hotel captures the experience of living in central Oregon, an experience of living within trees.
Each hotel room is articulated, a street presence animated with box-like repetitive rhythms that punctuate a long elevation.
Hotel rooms span above retail and a wellness center below, lightwells separate hotels rooms bringing daylight into the lower floors.
Massing shifts and geometric breaks create pedestrian alleyways connecting the street to a courtyard garden.
