People who live in San Diego spend most of their time outdoors. To respond to this lifestyle, this house’s architecture is one of implied space. The backyard becomes a courtyard, acting as the heart of the house, surrounded by walkway and detached rooms. The house opens inward, away from the street for refuge, safety and serenity.
